HTC announced at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2016 in Barcelona that the company will begin taking pre-orders for its VR (Virtual Reality) device Vive on February 29, before officially launching sales with a price tag of US$799 in April, reported the United Daily News on February 22. HTC also unveiled Vive Phone Services, which enables Vive users to stay connected to the real world without leaving the virtual one. Users can respond to incoming and missed calls, check calender events, and reply to text messages directly through the headset. With the roll-out of the HTC Vive consumer edition, the company aims to bring VR experience into homes.
